I have a torn hip labrum and the additional pillows allow me to position/support my legs so that they aren’t in a ton of pain when I meditate.**UPDATE 8/2015**Having now owned and enjoyed this set of pillows for nearly two years; I still think they were a super buy! They have been very easy to clean (our cats at times seem to be the principal users!) and I use a good lint brush and occasional vacuuming. Removing the covers has also been very easy for the rare laundering. The fabric and fill have held up remarkably well, and the black shows no sign of fading, even though these cusions Have been in a fully sunlit room the majority of their life. Without any hessitation I would purchase this set again, and may even do just that! Even with two full sets we'll have to work out something with the cats!I purchased this set for my wife and she couldn't be happier. They are very much like the cushions we have at our Zen Center. Good quality material, and the buckwheat is nice and quiet (if you tend to shift as you meditate). Very durable outer fabric, nice fluffable fill (outside of the buckwheat Zafu, which is nice and firm, yet very comfortable.)Product is exactly as advertised, and appears to be well made. They shipped it via federal express...I would have rather been given the money spent of fed ex delivery off the price of the item. The only reason I give this 4 stars is i think this item was pricey, and i could have spent less money on this or something like it.I got these after trying out a workshop at a local Zen center. I wanted to start a mindfulness practice, but I have bad knees and had a real problem trying to sit (even at the Zen center on their Zabuton). I really like this set and being able to spend more time figuring out how to sit comfortably has let me make a lot more progress in my practice.The cushions are nice and comfortable. I like the buckwheat zafu more than the kapok one I'd used before as it really settles around your body and supports you. The zabuton is comfortable and I haven't had the problems with my legs falling asleep I had before. The one caveat is that I'm 5'11" with somewhat short legs for my height, and the zabuton is just barely big enough for me.Bought two sets and have been very happy with them. They are good quality, comfortable, and look nice too.Wonderful quality Zafu cushion set! The buckweat pillow props you way up and smells mild and pleasant. The only thing I might change is the 2 extra cushions are 2 different sizes, and I like to put them on either side of my legs for extra support, and they are uneven. It' would be nice if they included another little square cushion. Otherwise I'm very pleased, and the color, Clay, is fantastic looking!Quite a deal. A comfortable zabuton and two small pillows for extra support, plus a no-nonsense and very firm zafu. (I can't be the only Seiza position meditator who starts sinking and shifting during sitting practice on most zafus, no matter how many I use.) I'm impressed with the quality and the speed of delivery. I wish they had come in the color black, though.Very comfortable and configurable, depending on your personal preference for meditation. I have a back injury that makes a long session uncomfortable but I was able to mitigate that with the extra supplied cushion. Everything is solidly built, well constructed. Very highly recommended. If I find anyone else considering meditation, i would recommend this set without pause.
