The Heliopan 62mm Sand Soft Spot Filter is only sharp in the center part of the image. The rest is soft/blurred heading out towards the edge thereby creating a kind of "aura" around your subject. The circular center of the shot draws the attention of the viewer while the softened surroundings create a mood of serenity. It must be noted that the degree of the blurred effect varies with lens focal length and aperture opening. For portraits this is a great choice since it accents your subject in a very flattering way by setting it off from the rest of the frame.

Heliopan's premier 62mm Sand Soft Spot Filter allows you to capture images with a very clear, detailed interior and a soft/blurred image towards the outer edge of the frame. This creates a certain "aura" for your subject and draws your attention towards the center. It is important to note that the focal length and aperture opening of the lens directly effects the amount of blurring on your image.
Constructed from the highest German Schott Optics, which guarantees incredible optical resolution. Our glass is specially ground and polished to minimize internal reflections, while ensuring that the quality of your images are not degraded by using our optics in front of your lens. It is also specially hardened to resist most impacts.
Our standard 8-Layer Multi-Coating minimizes reflections and does not interfere with the resolution of your camera optics.
Our precision cut brass ring ensures a secure and sturdy fit, are more resistant to side impacts, and less likely to bind or cross-thread after extended use.
