Love this....I use the T-ICE plus a tad of the W-Sand this gives me the perfect pure white. The ice shade is yes, icy while the sand shade is neutral. You’ve gotta have the neutral in there, otherwise white veers into silver territory. If you want a slightly silvery white, don’t add Sand, add a little of the T-Steel, which is blue and that will carry you into that icy white-ish territory IF you have pre-lightened to a level 10 pale pale (color of frozen butter) yellow and only then. I only need to process about 7 minutes. So I apply FAST FAST FAST starting in back and finishing the crown last. Then once the crown is perfect, I KNOW that everywhere else is perfection too. By the time I clean up my mess and start the shower, it’s done. For others, it could take longer. You can process up to 20 minutes but be sure and check the tone every 5 minutes because it’s sneaky and all of a sudden you may have more “color” than you wanted only because you didn’t rinse soon enough. On the other hand, if you’re not getting the desired tone after a full 20 minutes (application time + 20 minutes that is), then it’s likely you just didn’t pre-lighten to the pale yellow level upteen palest possible yellow level 10+. But if you lift all the way to white, you’ve gone too far and your hair is history. So you’ve gotta know what you’re doing. One other thing: I first tried this toner with cheap cheap developer, the Ion one from Sally’s and I did NOT get the result I was after. I did exactly the same thing next time, pre lightening and all, and I used the Schwartzkopf Blond Me developer and VIOLA!! Perfect results with the Blond Me developer every single time. It’s crucial to use the same brand of color and developer, even if both are professional brands. A Wella developer isn’t going to deliver the best results with Schwartzkopf color and vice versa although either scenario is preferable to any developer you can buy at Sally’s (but all are awful y’all). You’ll get the very best results using Wella developer with Wella color and Schwartzkopf developer with Schwartzkopf color and they must be from the same line. No Wella Color Charm developer with Wella Professionals Koleston Perfect...I mean, why would you do that???? They are NOT the same thing. The color and developer within each pro line were designed to work together and will always ALWAYS yield the very best outcome. So follow that one rule from now on.....And be sure you know the differences between Schwartzkopf Blond Me Toning, White Blending and Lifting toners. They are very different animals for very different purposes so be sure you read yourself to death about all the details before you buy but especially before you apply. Better safe than sorry, trust me. You can combine the Toning and White Blending formulas as I’ve outlined here and done myself. Just be sure you know exactly when and why you’re using shades from each formula category. Make sure you choose correctly otherwise you won’t even come close to your goal.
